Shangri-La is a mysterious place, some say it’s fictitious. But haveyou ever started a project and it just rolled out so effortlessly you wondered if it was a dream? Sugar & The Hi-Lows bandmates Amy Stroup and Trent Dabbs would say these songs simply fell from the sky...and they just tried to catch them.

This seven track project follows the flirty, swinging highs and equally poetic lows that Sugar & The Hi-Lows has become known for, mixing Amy’s Texas roots with Trent’s Mississippi spin to realize a mellow sound baby all its own.

We soaked up every ounce of creative license for the this one. What if Shangri-La were in fact a place? A dreamy, exotic cacophony of color and allure. That’s what we worked to give them here.
